[New Blog Post]

"Well, it's been awhile since I've posted." Isn't that how these blog posts are supposed to start? It seems that it is traditional to start blogs this way, that is, if you haven't posted in awhile. So anyway...it has been awhile since I've posted. Well not really, since I tweet all the fucking time, post pictures, and share numerous articles, but for some reason people don't count that as as "blogging".

Since my last "official" post some things have changed. I got a new job at the U (a year ago) and I'll be officially moving to full time in January. I enjoy my job. It is basically a help desk position, but I get to do more than just listen to people bitch about their computers not working. Best of all, it is NOT an annoying phone job! woot woot...

Let's see, where to go from here...oh yeah, it was christmas time, now it is new years eve. I spent a day with the family over the holiday. My mom gave me a bunch of cooking utensils (I think she wants me to cook more). It's a bit odd at times with my family. They seems to get on my nerves a lot more quickly. Don't get me wrong, I love them, just only in short bursts.

Right now I have a ton of friends in town, that I haven't seen in awhile. It's been pretty cool seeing them all. I think a bunch of them are up skiing right now, and dubya is doing some training on guitar hero (he is practicing for this evening).

Wow, I'm a bit rusty on the blog post scene. Maybe I should devolve into just posting crazy lists like mrak or pictures with the title "it has arrived" like mikey. We'll see where this goes. I will probably just go back to tweets, crazy pics, and facebook activity.

I realize that some of you might have jizzed in your pants because I just posted something, so here is a towel to clean it up with.

Cooldog, now with even more flare!

We at cooldog.blogspot.com are proud to announce a new feature! For those of you that visit us here at cooldog.blogspot.com, you might have noticed a few things I've added to the left side here.

I have usually resisted social networking. I hate myspace with a passion. Honestly, who in the hell wants to load up a webpage that has a static background with video and music starting automatically (I don't give a fuck what your new favorite song/video was 5 months ago, when you updated last, and I sure as hell don't want it starting up every time I load your page). You might have seen me rarely on facebook (I usually only check it when I get to deny a new friend request). Well, it looks like I might start embracing social networking a little more.

First off, you will see some public pictures I have added to flickr, and have created a mini stream of those. I do have a section of flickr with more pictures, if you'd like to be added as a friend to see them (not updated a lot), just drop me a line. Eventually (maybe), I might move some of my friends only pictures into the public eye...

Second, you probably have seen that I have a section of my blog dedicated to random articles around the net (those who use google reader see them all the time). These are usually items I have read through RSS feeds and have decided to share (some even with commentary!) .

Third (last, and the newest feature), I have decided to add my tweets from twitter. After some of my friends (mrak) had bothered me for a while to start twittering, it was finally Goldi who pushed me into this new direction. I will randomly update my status, give a quick opinion on something, or maybe even live twitter a random movie I am watching (a fan favorite*)!

So there you have it. I am slowly working my way up to the required 36 pieces of flare (I am currently at 3 or 4). I may not update my blog posts very often (if at all, LOL), but it doesn't mean that my blog isn't being updated all the time. From new pictures I've taken, to cool and interesting (to me) articles, and now live status updates!

*Experiences my vary. Please see a doctor if the "experience" lasts longer than four hours (take a picture too). Not available in all states. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Something Something.

Lets see, where to begin. It's been over a month since my last post (a few people have been kind enough to let me know). Since my last post, I got a new job up at the "U" doing tech shit (you know how I do).

That is all I am willing to reveal in this semi-public forum. I am not sure when I will make a real post again, so just expect some more pictures...maybe

Pizza time

IMG_0013, originally uploaded by paulyzink.

So, another thing...when did costco start serving up designer pizza's and in happy valley of all places (you know, behind the zion curtain)? It's always been cheese, pepperoni, or combo up in the slc. My friends and I decided this pizza would make a great dinner...we were correct.

Wii at Costco

So, I was down in Happy Valley with a few of my friends and looky what I found at Costco. Needless to say, this was actually the second pallet (the first one sold out shortly before I was there). I got to pick up 2 of these bad boys, one for my sisters family and another for a friend (no wii wii for pablo).
